How do I download MP3 files from the free access audio archive?
After clicking on the link Archivio Audio Gratuito (Free Audio Archive) in the left-hand menu of the home page you will be on the author search page with the authors in alphabetical order. By clicking on the author's image or name you will find not only the author's biography but Resource links to other Internet pages on the same author, to works by the author available in the catalogue and free audio tracks which you can listen to by clicking on the speaker icon.
ATTENTION: In order to access the free Archive you must be registered and have a Username and Password in order to Login. Only after this simple but necessary step, can you access all free audio tracks and relevant PDF texts.
Are the works which can be downloaded free from the audio archive protected by copyright?
No, not for authors and translators who have been dead for over 70 years. All others are protected. Where applicable, on some MP3 files royalties have been paid to the SIAE copyrights agency by il Narratore s.r.l which has obtained the license to distribute them free for listening purposes. Others are not under copyright as they have been donated free by the authors themselves to il Narratore and they are not registered with SIAE. In all cases, recording rights either belong to il Narratore or the authors/interpreters and any unauthorized use of works downloaded from the site, other than personal use, will be punished under the terms of copyright law.
